Some students on the waiting list of 2019-20 Admission Test has started hunger strike demanding admission in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU).
A total of eight students of A Unit, B Unit, F Unit, H Unit and E Unit started a hunger strike in front of the main gate of the university demanding admission on Tuesday 11 AM. The students said that even though there were empty seats, they were not called for admission. They also alleged that university authority stopped admission process without any prior notice.
So their educational life became uncertain. Md. Nayeem Hossain, who held merit position 1357 in E unit, said, “We got to know through various students that there are still many vacant seats left for admission. So we hoped that we would be called for admission. But the university did not call any more students against this vacant seats.”
