Mymensingh City Corporation (MASIC) has completed the preparation of 5 haats on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha. This year, on the banks of the Brahmaputra river in the city, Zainul Udyan, Shikarikanda, Rahmatpur, Sutiakhali Bazar and Ward 31 office adjacent to the cattle market is operating.
Arrangements have been made for hand washing, distribution of masks, awareness campaign, etc. to ensure hygiene in these animal husbandries run by the City Corporation. In addition, bank booths, general practitioners and veterinarians, potable water, etc. have been set up to detect counterfeit money.
Regarding the preparation of the hat, Mayor Md. Ikramul Haque Titu said that all measures have been taken to make the purchase of sacrificial animals for the holy Eid-ul-Azhar comfortable.
The cattle market at Zainul Udyan has been divided into three zones according to the price of cattle. In addition, the councilors and officials will regularly monitor every market of the city corporation to ensure smooth completion of activities.
He also said that the infection of Covid-19 is increasing. At this time, not everyone has to follow the hygiene rules. At this time he requested not to take too many people to the market. He urged the children and the elderly in particular to avoid such gatherings.
Regarding Kobrani waste management, the mayor said that overall measures have been taken in Korbani waste management. This time the sacrificial animals will be slaughtered at 450 points of the city. As in other years, the waste will be removed within 24 hours after the sacrifice and a gift will be given to the clean city of Mymensingh.
City Corporation Secretary Rajiv Kumar Sarkar inspected the preparations for the hats on Thursday. Councilor of 12 wards Md. Abdul Mannan, Chief Revenue Officer Senjuti Dhar, Chief Waste Management Officer Md Arifur Rahman, Public Relations Officer Sheikh Mahabul Hossain Rajib, Food and Sanitation Officer Deepak Muzamdar and others were present.
