Steps have been taken in Rajshahi to prevent coronavirus after detection of three coronavirus infected patients in Bangladesh. On Monday in a conference, the Divisional Health Director’s Office, Civil Surgeon’s Office and also Rajshahi Medical College Hospital came up with the remarks. The conference was held at the conference room of RMCH.
According to the conference sources, three special teams of doctors have been formed at RMCH where a team will check up the health of patients while another two teams will monitor the hospital’s wards and the Infection Disease (ID) Hospital.
At the end of conference, RMCH Deputy Director Saiful Ferdous told the reporters that “There are eighteen-beds for the coronavirus infected patients where twelve-beds have been increased. If needed, quarantine centers will also be set up in different places.”
During the conference, the doctors of Upazila Health Complex have been ordered to be vigilant always and also given instructions to send the patients at RMCH if they are suspected. Dr Gopendro Nath Ascharjayo, the Divisional Health Director said, “we take additional measures for keeping public interests although there are seen no coronavirus infected patients.”
Dr Anamul Haque, the Civil Surgeon said that the district administration along with the health departments is working cautiously to face the coronavirus adding that there is no worry about it. RMCH Director Brigadier General Jamilur Rahman Chowdhury, Principal Dr Nowshad Ali, among others, was present on the conference.
11-members committee has been already formed to prevent coronavirus where the District Administrator Hamidul Haque is made as convener. Besides, separate committees have also been formed with the Upazila Nirbahi Officers.
