The eagerly anticipated "Bangladesh Startup Summit 2024" is set to kick off on July 27–28 at Intercontinental Dhaka, marking a pivotal event aimed at elevating Bangladesh's startup ecosystem.

Organised by Startup Bangladesh Limited under the theme "Smart Bangladesh: Endless Possibilities," the summit will gather local and international startups, venture capitalists, angel investors, regulatory bodies, and industry experts.

The State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, announced these details during a press conference at the Bangladesh Computer Council Auditorium in Agargaon on Sunday. He emphasised the transformative impact of startups on Bangladesh's economy, citing over 2,500 successful startups created since 2010, generating billions in valuation and creating 1.5 million jobs.

Highlighting the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Minister Palak underscored the establishment of Startup Bangladesh Limited as a catalyst for nurturing entrepreneurial talent. He expressed confidence in Bangladesh's potential across sectors like health, agriculture, and education, envisioning the emergence of billion-dollar unicorns in the near future.

The summit will feature more than 100 speakers and 30 engaging sessions covering diverse topics such as AI & Technology, FinTech, EdTech, and Climate Vulnerability. Participants will engage in showcases, training sessions, and policy discussions, fostering networking and collaboration opportunities.

Supported by a consortium including the Swiss Embassy, Mindshare, Windmill Advertising, Youth Co:Lab, Intercontinental, Lightcastle, and Sahaj, the event aims to empower startups with the knowledge and resources to thrive in a competitive global landscape.

This summit promises to be a cornerstone event for Bangladesh's burgeoning startup community, driving innovation, investment, and sustainable growth across the region.
