The stars are leading in different positions in the cultural sub-committee of Awami League. From the 2016-2019 term, the practice of forming a sub-committee on cultural affairs of the Awami League started.
In the previous committee, Ataur Rahman was given the responsibility of chairman and Asim Kumar Ukil was given the responsibility of member secretary. Recently a new committee has been announced. These two leaders will lead the sub-committee. Awami League President Sheikh Hasina has relied on them.
On December 24, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader approved the 45-member sub-committee on the instructions of Awami League president Sheikh Hasina.
Former Minister of Culture actor Asaduzzaman Noor (MP), former state minister actress Tarana Halim, former MP, Juba League leader and cultural figure Choyan Islam, chairman of Mashranga Television Anjan Chowdhury Pintu, former actor Azizul Haque and former actor Azizul Haque, Central BCL leader, popular presenter and producer Anjam Masud, actor Zayed Khan, actor Harunur Rashid, actor Ehsanul Haque Minu, musician Rafiqul Alam, musician Shuvro Dev have been included in the committee.
Also present were Simin Hossain Rimi (MP), daughter of Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed, current Minister of State for Culture KM Khalid Mahmud (MP), Editor of Daily Sangbad Altamas Kabir Mishu, Former DIG of Bangladesh Police Mohammad Mozammel Haque and many more.
