As the Covid-19 situation has come under control, the SSC and equivalent examinations are going to be held maintaining health guidelines. The exams will be held on shortened syllabuses of three group-based elective subjects. The SSC examinees will have to submit 24 assignments while HSC examinees will submit 30 assignments. And the compulsory subjects will be assessed through subject mapping.

We hope the dark cloud descended

over the country’s education

sector will disappear soon

We think this is an exciting announcement for our students, teachers and guardians. Earlier the government cancelled the Primary Education Completion, Junior School Certificate and HSC examinations in 2020 due to the coronavirus situation. About 13.65 lakh students could not take part in the HSC examinations, the most important public examination last year. Later it had gone for an “auto pass” system – a method of evaluation made comparing the results of the SSC and the Junior School Certificate examinations.

Educational institutions reopened on September 12 after being closed since March of 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Over four crore students had to stay away from their respective educational institutions for about 18 months as the pandemic continued battering the country. However, we will have to keep a sharp eye on the situation as someone can get infected, may be at home, outside or educational institutions. And the government will also have to monitor the situation to protect students from Covid-19.

The coronavirus has batted the country’s education sector, shutting down all educational institutions from primary to university and throwing lakhs of student into uncertainty. We think lakhs of students deprived of academic activities during the pandemic are now backing on the right track gradually. Students are now attending their classes physically while the SSC and HSS candidates are also set to take part in the examinations. It is indeed good news for the nation as the dark cloud descended over the country’s education sector will disappear soon.
