The sky was sunny and the mercury went very high when there was no trace of water. All the creatures including human being and others pass intolerable time due to severe drought. Moreover, the crop fields started cracking.
The people, especially, the farmers left their houses ignoring the excessive heat and gathered at the crop field at Uttar Mirjapur village of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah on Tuesday morning to offer special prayers to the Almighty.
Villagers said a they were hopeless and helpless.
The villagers had decided to sit under the open sky under the leadership of Moulana Imam Mohammad Ullah at about 7.00AM seeking rainfall to the Almighty Allah.
Over a hundred of people prayed to the Almighty for adequate rainfall which could save them from drought, excessive heat and intolerable climate in the summer.
Moulana Imam Mohammad Ullah when contacted said, “He hopes the Almighty will hear the cry of the people and give them a suitable climate with rainfall very soon.”
