Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury on Thursday visited different hospitals in the capital and enquired about the treatments of the people, who were injured in the recent violence done under the shield of quota reform movement.
The speaker visited Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and Central Police Hospital to see the injured people, said a press release.
Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of the people who were killed in the violence and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Deputy Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Md. Shamsul Haque Tuku and Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury, and Whips - Iqbalur Rahim, Md Nazrul Islam Babu, Saimum Sarwar Kamal, Sanjida Khanom and Senior Secretary of Parliament Secretariat KM Abdus Salam were present.
