South Africa’s Test tour in Bangladesh schedule has been finalized when the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced the itinerary for October-November.
The two-match series is a part of the current ICC World Test Championship cycle. The Proteas scheduled to leave Bangladesh on November 3.
Meanwhile, a four-member observation team came to Dhaka from South Africa regarding the security concern with the upcoming two-match Test series. The four-member observation team of the South Africa contained the cricket operations manager of the of Cricket South Africa (CSA), team Security manager, security consultants and representatives from the South African Cricketers' Association (SACA).
The South African team’s tour of Bangladesh became uncertain when the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup was moved from Bangladesh regarding security reason following the political unrest.
Meanwhile, South Africa played the last bilateral series in Bangladesh in 2015. The two teams played two T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests in that tour.
South Africa won the T20 series, Bangladesh won the ODI series by 2-1 when the both matches of two-match Test series were drawn.
