Aiming at 100 per cent coverage of electricity during of the year of birth centenary of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Solar Home system at the off-grid char villages at Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district was inaugurated.
On the occasion, a discussion was held through a virtual function by Northern Electricity Supply Company (NESCO) Limited on Saturday (November 28).
Presided over by Zakiul Islam, Managing Director of NESCO Limited, the function was attended, among others, by Nuruzzaman Ahmed MP, Social Welfare Minister as the chief guest, Habibur Rahman, Secretary of Power Division, AKM Humayun Kabir, Additional Secretary, Power Division and Chairman, NESCO limited and Commodore Khandker Akhter Hossain,(E) PhD. PSC, BN, Managing Director, Dockyard and Engineering Works Limited as special guests.
