Social Islami Bank holds Shari’ah Supervisory body meeting

Social Islami Bank's reconstituted board, under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank, reformed the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee of the Bank. 

The reformed Shari’ah Supervisory Committee comprising of 08 members held its first meeting (91st) at the bank’s head office on 11 November.

Mufti Mahfuzul Haque was elected as Chairman of Shari’ah Supervisory Committee at the meeting as well as Mufti Abdullah Masum elected as Vice Chairman, Mufti Abu Bakar Siddique Nabil elected as Member Secretary of the Committee. 

Among other members of the newly formed committee Mufti Zubair Abdullah, Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Prof. Dr. M. Masud Rahman, Barrister Md. Mahfuzur Rahman (Milon), Prof. Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam were present. 

Mohammad Forkanullah, Managing Director (Acting), Abdul Hannan Khan & Md. Nazmus Saadat, Deputy Managing Directors, along with senior executives were also present at the meeting. 

The newly elected committee members discussed the overall issues of the Bank and expressed firm commitment to establish this bank as a sustainable shari’ah compliant one.
