The Australian football team, known as the Socceroos, has arrived in Dhaka to play against Bangladesh in the World Cup qualifiers. They landed today at 12:10 PM.

After completing formalities at the airport, the team headed to the La Meridien hotel. Players and coaching staff went straight to their rooms from the bus. There is no practice scheduled for today. Tomorrow, during practice time, the Australian team will face the media in an official press conference.

Australia, a formidable team, currently leads Group I in this round of the World Cup qualifiers. Last November, they overwhelmed Bangladesh with a 7-0 victory in a home match in Melbourne. On June 6th, Australia will take to the field against Bangladesh at King's Arena at 4:45 PM. This will be Australia's fourth match against Bangladesh and their second in Dhaka. In the 2015 World Cup qualifiers, Australia defeated Bangladesh 4-0 in Dhaka. Prior to that, they won a home match in Perth with a score of 5-0.

In 2015, Australia arrived in Dhaka the night before the match and played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium directly from the Westin hotel in Gulshan, returning the same night after the game.
