Soborno Isaac Bari, of Bangladeshi origin, has already set a precedent as the world's youngest professor. Now, he is poised to make history again by becoming the youngest high school graduate in America.
Despite not yet finishing high school, 12-year-old Soborno teaches with expertise. His exceptional talents defy average calculations, earning him the title of a 'wonder boy.' Born in New York, Soborno lives with his family and is about to graduate from high school in Nassau County.
Soborno has authored two books and is often compared to scientific greats like Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein for his quick problem-solving abilities in math and science. He will receive his high school diploma on June 26, although he has already been accepted into college.
Prof Soborno Isaac Bari has already become a leading professor of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and other related science subjects at the prestigious Harvard University, United States of America and a distinguished visiting professor at the Mumbai University, India.
On Feb 19, 2022, Soborno was the focal point of the “Spiritual Dialogues” journey presented by Mark Currie and Dr. Ding-Jo H. Currie on behalf of California State University, Fullerton. He makes appearances at universities such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he teaches both physics and computer science. In addition to this title, Bari holds another record for the world’s youngest mayor, where he has been appointed in Little Bangladesh, Los Angeles.
“I want to help everyone in the world understand math and science,” Soborno told the New York Post. “My goal is to become a professor and help those in need.”
Soborno was born on April 9, 2012, at Presbyterian Queens Hospital in New York. His parents, Rashidul and Shaheda, moved from Bangladesh to America long before his birth. He also has a grandfather named Refat.
Soborno began talking at six months old and solving complex math, physics, and chemistry problems by the age of two. Videos of Soborno solving difficult puzzles sparked widespread interest, leading to media interviews and growing crowds outside his home.
In 2016, Professor Lisa Koiko of the City College of New York called him the 'Einstein of this era' for his brilliance in mathematics and science. At four, Soborno received recognition from former President Barack Obama, and by six, he was accepted by Harvard University.
One of Soborno’s books, The Love, explores the amalgamation of different religions and has garnered significant praise. In January 2020, Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi awarded Soborno the 'Global Child Prodigy' award.
At age eight, Soborno joined Mumbai University as a physics professor, and a documentary has since been made about him. Despite his extraordinary achievements, his parents, Rashidul and Shaheda, prefer not to make special arrangements for Soborno, believing their son is unique and always stands by people.
