In Kishoreganj town, 50-days long computer and sewing training has been inaugurated for 50 women from Harijan community and Dalit community under the programme of improving the quality of life of backward community.
This initiative was taken by Social Service Department on Thursday. Social Service Department Deputy Director Md Kamruzzaman Khan presided over the function. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shamim Alam attended the programme as the chief guest.
At that time, Assistant Commissioner Mahmudul Hasan, District Social Welfare Office Assistant Director Sahanaz Parvin, Town Social Welfare Officer Md Siddiqur Rahman, Hospital Social Welfare Officer Jubair Islam, Journalist of Print & Electronic Media and Town Social Welfare Office Trainer and employees were also present.
Deputy Commissioner MohammadShamim Alam said the government is working sincerely to improve the living standards of the backward people to keep pace with the society.
