A six-year-old boy Isa lost his life after drowning in a village pond in Islampur in Kalapara of Patuakhali.
Isa, the son of farmer Zahidul Islam was discovered in the pond by his relatives around 10 am on Thursday.
According to family members, Isa was playing in the yard when the accident occurred. Despite their best efforts, he fell into the pond unnoticed while they were occupied with household chores. After a frantic search, Isa was found on the pond's bank, already submerged.
He was swiftly retrieved and rushed to Kalapara's 50-bed hospital. However, the medical team at the emergency department could not revive him, declaring him deceased upon arrival. Doctors concluded that Isa had tragically lost his life before reaching the hospital.
