The administration has announced the establishment of two security checkpoints in Sitakunda forest Salimpur to stop the construction of illegal settlements and forest cutting. The security post is one at the entry to Jangal Salimpur from Bayezid Link Road, the other at the entry to Alinagar from Jangal Salimpur. Two special places have been designated for setting up the post. RAB, Police, Ansar and Volunteers will be manning the security posts.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Nazmul Ahsan said these things after the eviction operation in Jungle Salimpur on Friday. A continuous operation was conducted in the forest Salimpur on Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm. Construction of boundary fence around the 57.50 acres of land recovered for South Asia's first Night Safari Park was started. During the campaign 25 boundary pillars were erected and signboards containing public notices issued by the Assistant Commissioner (Land) were erected at the entrance to Alinagar. Apart from this, rod, cement, sand shops in Jungle Salimpur have been closed in the campaign. He said that security posts are being established so that no land robbers can settle in Salimpur forest and cut mountains. Close circuit cameras with night vision and voice detection have been identified at some points.
He said, those who are legally, who have their own place. Assuring them that they have nothing to fear from being landless. Those who own the land here will go to AC land office and show the ownership documents.
Sitakunda Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Shahadat Hossain said that the district administration is continuously conducting operations in the forests of Salimpur and Alinagar.
Today's campaign is a preliminary step to implement the government's proposed plan very quickly.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Ashraful Alam said the construction of boundary fence of 57.50 acres area for South Asia's first night safari park has been started. Within the next one month a Safari Park will be built here by releasing various animals including tigers, chitra deer, pythons, snakes, crocodiles.

Besides, a place is also fixed for the management committee. The offices of the Executive Magistrate, the officials of the Department of Environment and the members of the law and order enforcement forces will be set up there.
