A special song 'Bangabandhu Tomar Joy' was composed on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Several artistes living in Bangladesh, India and Japan have taken part in it. The song has been prepared under the banner of 'Nihon Bangla Production' at the initiative of Golam Masum Zico. The melody and music are directed by Chirantan Banerjee of Kolkata.
The song, composed by Kolkata's Shubhodeep Chakraborty and Japanese expatriate Golam Masum Zico, features Kolkata's Rupankar Bagchi and Jayati Chakraborty, and Bangladesh's Moni Zaman and Alif Alauddin. Chirantan himself gave the voice and Shubhodeep and Zico were lyricists.
Entrepreneur Zico said, ‘Such work on Bangabandhu will undoubtedly spread his ideology to different parts of the world. Not only that, a friendly relationship will be created between the artistes of different countries centring on Bangabandhu. This is our main purpose behind making the song.'
Golam Masum Zico also said the video work of the song has been completed recently after the recording. He said it will be published on YouTube on December 16. Alif Alauddin, one of the artistes of the song, said, ‘The first thing is that the song is made centring Bangabandhu, which is a matter of good fortune for me.
I would like to thank all those who shared this song with me. Another thing, a connection between the three countries happened through this song. It's a very big deal.'
