Extensive flooding triggered by monsoon rain is worsening in Bangladesh. More than 4.5 million people are affected from this flood. Already this flood has destroyed many crops and driving people out of their homes in several impoverished regions.
Amid this prevailing crisis of the country, Sikder Group has stepped forward to help flood affected vulnerable people.
The Group has distributed relief items among 300 flood affected families at Shimla and Panchthakuri areas in Chongacha of Sirajganj on Thursday.
Every packet of relief goods, distributed at the time contained 10 kg of rice, 1 kg of potato, 1 kg of lentils, 1 liter of edible oil, 1kg of sugar, 1 kg of salt, 1 kg of onion, 1 pack of puffed rice-molasses and a soap.
Sikdar Group decided to stand by these helpless people after seeing the plight of the flood affected families. The Group is very optimistic that such initiative would continue in the future and hoped that the disaster would pass away soon.
