Mazharul Islam, in-charge of the park, said the treatment was continued as per the old decision of the board as the lioness became weaker without any improvement in the disease. On March 26, blood and wound samples of the lioness were sent to Chittagong Veterinary and Sciences University for testing.
According to the results of the test report received on April 12, the medical board mentioned that the virus has spread from the wound of the lion to the body (feline immunodeficiency virus / Feline leukemia virus).
