A brother and sister drowned under a bridge near the railway line in the Moulvipara area of Rajarkul Union, Ramu Upazila, Cox's Bazar, on Thursday afternoon.
The victims were identified as Rihab, 7, and Maria, 5, children of Saudi expatriate Md. Abdullah.
Rajarkul Union Parishad Chairman Mufizur Rahman said the children went missing while playing in the evening. Local resident Hasmat Ali discovered their bodies when he threw a net into the pond for fishing. Burial arrangements are underway.
