Shikho.com, a leading online education platform, has indefinitely suspended its live classes and other online activities. The announcement was made via a red-themed card on their official Facebook page on Saturday.
The notice reads: “All live classes and online activities of Shikho will be suspended until further notice. We remain committed to supporting our students.” Shahir Chowdhury, the platform's founder and CEO, confirmed the suspension on his verified Facebook page at 2 p.m. His post, accompanied by a photo, highlighted the role of students and youth in shaping Bangladesh's future, referencing historical moments such as ‘Joy Bangla’ from 1952 and ‘Tomar Desh, Amar Desh, Bangladesh’ from 1971.
Chowdhury stated: “I returned to Bangladesh with the ambition to apply global education standards and opportunities to our students' lives. However, their courage and determination have far exceeded our expectations.
While we have lost much, their sacrifices have only strengthened our resolve.”
He concluded with: “If you hear their call today, stand by their side.”
This suspension follows a similar decision by 10 Minute School, which also announced an indefinite closure on their official Facebook page shortly after midnight on Friday.
