‘Startup Compass University Activation Program – 2023’ was held in Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) with the aim of inspiring university students making startups under the initiative of ‘iDEA’ project of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department.
On this occasion, a program was arranged on Monday in the auditorium of the multipurpose building of CUET’s Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator, where the chief guest was the Vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Samsul Arefin, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering; Professor Dr. Mohammad Moshiul Haque, Director of Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator and Professor Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Director of Student Welfare were there as special guests. The Project Director (Deputy Secretary) of the ‘iDEA’ project of the ICT division Dr. Md. Mijanur Rahman presided over the program where National Consultant (HR and Finance) Mr. Md. Nazim Uddin was the presenter.
In the speech of the chief guest Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam said, “Sheikh Kamal IT Business Incubator of CUET will add unique extent to motivate university students becoming entrepreneurs and creating startups resulting technological revolution of the country. It is possible to practice and successfully implement the key tools of deconstructing the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Smart Bangladesh in this very incubator. Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina always says she has faith in our young generation. We also believe that it will be possible to build a technology based developed and prosperous Bangladesh by the leadership of the youths.
