Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP from Chuadanga-1 constituency, has said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working for development of the country. As a part of development, she was awarded `Vaccine Hero' and `Champion of Skill Development for Youth' by GAVI and UNICEF, he added. He said these while speaking at a public meeting as the chief guest at Hasan Chattar in Chuadanga on Thurday.
The meeting was arranged by district Awami League with Haji Ali Ajgar Togar, MP from Chuadanga-2 constituency, in the chair. It was addressed, among others, by Riajul Islam Joarder Toton, joint secretary of district Awami League, Hasan Kader Gonu, mayor of Alamdanga pourasabha, Abdul Mannan Nannu, president of Sadar upazila Awami League, Sirajul Islam Jhontu, president of Damurhuda upazila Awami League, Alauddin Hela, general secretary of poura AL, Noorun Nahar Kakoli, general secretary of district Mohila League, Abjalul Hoque, president of district Sramik League, Mohaiminul Hasan Joarder Aunik, and president of district Chhatra League. The meeting was conducted by Munsi Alamgir Hannan, organizing secretary of district AL.
In his speech, Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP, said that some persons in the party are violating rules. They are anti-Awami League persons. “We will detect them and take step against them,” he added.
He further said, “We, two MPs, become staying in a stage for development of the district according to the direction of our honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.”
He said, this area was under cluster of terrorists and armed cadres in the name of Purba Bangla Communist Party. People of the area did not sleep at night in fear of terrorists and militants. Police under the direction of Present Government arrested the terrorists and cadres with arms and bullets through surrender, he added. “We have seen BNP and Jamaat. We fought against them. We destroyed them through politics. Do not hatch conspiracy in the party. Work together under the banner of Awami League,” said the MP. Leaders and activists of Awami League and its front organisations from variour parts of the district attended the meeting.
