State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Murad Hasan said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman could not finish the ideology, plan and dream that he wanted to make Bangladesh stand on because of the anti-independence and defeated forces of 1971.
In the absence of Bangabandhu, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been relentlessly working for the betterment of the living standards of the people of Bangladesh. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's steadfast patriotism, strong mentality, foresight and humane qualities like the leaden wall have made her a world leader, he added.
The state minister further said, Sheikh Hasina, the epitome of prosperous Bangladesh, the backward country of the world and the ideal of the nation, is today a role model of efficient leadership. Through her hands the country is developing into one and the same entity.
Dr Murad Hassan said this while inaugurating various developments works of Sarishabari Municipal Council in Jamalpur on Saturday morning.
Vice President of Upazila Awami League MA Latif, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Upma Farisa, Municipal Mayor Monir Uddin, President of Mahadan Union Awami League Azmat Ali Master, General Secretary of Upazila Juba League Monirul Islam Rony, Councilor Mohammad Ali, Sakhawat Alam, Leaders and workers of Awami League and its affiliated organizations including Mukul and Abdul Haq Tarafdar were present at the programme.
The state minister further said that no one could have ever imagined that it would be possible to build the Padma Bridge with the country's money without foreign funding. Pakistani brokers have made many mischievous attempts to stop the construction of the Padma Bridge but, to no avail.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation, has done just that. She not only showed the dream, but also made the dream come true.
