State Minister for Religious Affairs Alhajj Sheikh Md Abdullah joined a view exchange meeting with Bangladeshi expatriates at Al Ain of Dubai in United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday. The alem-ulamas and the Bangladeshi expatriates in Dubai welcomed Sheikh Md Abdullah in Dubai. He was given a warm welcome there. Hafiz Maulana Abdullah led the Bangladeshi expatriates during reception of the state minister for religious affairs. Maulana Abdullah along with others received Sheikh Abdullah by presenting a bouquet.
Hafiz Maulana Abdullah placed some proposals to the state minister on behalf of the alem-ulama. The proposals include Quranic programme in radio of Bangladesh, establishing a Fotwa centre under religious affairs ministry, providing special certificate to imams who go to foreign countries, and building up linkage with Awqaf of UAE. Sheikh Abdullah said that he will work for betterment of alem-ulama. He thanked the UAE expatriates for honouring him.
