Bangladesh young cricketer Shamim Hossain stated he enjoyed batting with the wicket-keeper batsman Nurul Hossain Sohan in the Tigers' unofficial warm-up game against Oman XI on Friday ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup.
Openers Mohammad Naim and Liton Das struck the fifties while Nurul Hasan Sohan played an explosive unbeaten cameo that helped Bangladesh XI register a convincing 60-run victory over Oman A.
Sohan played a stormy innings of 49 off 15 stroking 7 sixes while Shamim (19) accompanied the explosive batter till the end of the innings.
“At first, we had a good start, Naim and Liton Bhai played well. I played with Sohan Bhai at the end, I enjoyed it a lot,” said Shamim in a video message.
Bangladesh has very little experience playing in Oman. To qualify for the T20 World Cup, Bangladesh will have to compete in this new environment. Shamim feels that by playing the matches, they will be able to adapt to the new conditions.
"We are in a new condition. The more matches we can play, the better for us. And it has been good to have a night match. The batsmen have done well,” he added.
