All uncertainties surrounding Shakib Al Hasan's return to the country have been dispelled. The star all-rounder is set to come back home ahead of the upcoming series against South Africa. Additionally, Shakib will be participating in the 11th season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
It has been confirmed that Shakib will represent the Chittagong Kings in this year's BPL. The Chittagong franchise secured his services through a direct contract. According to the team, Shakib was included in the contract after receiving the necessary clearances. Chittagong Kings' owner, Sabbir, stated that they have obtained all the required permissions for Shakib to play.
Sabbir mentioned that they signed the contract with Shakib after confirming his eligibility to play in Bangladesh. Discussions with Rangpur ensured there were no contractual complications. With the green light from all parties, Shakib was officially brought into the team. The team is optimistic about Shakib's participation. Sabbir noted, "Shakib was not present at the auction as he was in the United States, but he provided valuable advice on the team's formation." Following his suggestions, the team participated in the auction, organised their squad collectively, and secured the desired players.
