On February 11, Finance Minister Abu Hena Mohammad Mostafa Kamal (Lotus Kamal) has handed over the tax card honorarium in the hands of Shakib Khan at a function organized by the National Board of Revenue at an elite restaurant in the capital's Paltan at 12 noon. Shakib has been the highest income taxpayer in the year 2019-2020 as well. Among other stars, Mamtaz Begum, Tahsan Khan and Bidya Sinha Mim also received taxcard honors on the occasion.
Shakib Khan, who has been elected as the highest income tax payer three times in a row, said, "Only he knows how happy it is to get a tax card award. It is very popular because I am going through the regular income tax for the development of my country, because of my duty.
Evidence that the love of the country has grown among the people, that people pay taxes with great interest, has been found at the time of the great outbreak of Corona. At that time people paid taxes along the line with interest. The Board of Revenue also extended the deadline for higher taxes. The bottom line is that we have to pay regular taxes for the development of our country, for the welfare of the people of the country. But the Padma bridge has been built with our tax money. So, for further development of the country in future we have to pay taxes regularly. As a patriot, as a regular taxpayer, I am really proud and happy.”
