Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan, who is set to return to the big screen this November with his new film Dorod, recently addressed rumors surrounding his personal life in an interview with an Indian media outlet.
The actor, known for his high-profile marriages and divorces, opened up about his relationships with his former wives, Apu Biswas and Shobnom Bubly, as well as the future of his two sons.
Shakib, who was previously married to actresses Apu Biswas and Shobnom Bubly, reflected on the impact of these relationships. He has a son, Abraham Khan Joy, with Apu, and another son, Shehzad Khan Bir, with Bubly. However, both marriages ended in divorce.
Speaking about his past, Shakib stated, “No separation is ever pleasant. What happened was probably meant to be. Life is a journey, and you meet many people along the way. Apu and Bubly are part of my past, and I’ve made peace with that. I hold no regrets.”
He also mentioned his strong family ties and the love he receives from his fans. "I have my two sons, my parents, my sister and her family, close friends, my business, and millions of fans who shower me with love. I’m very happy with them in my life," he added.
When asked about the rumors of a third marriage, possibly to a doctor, Shakib remained non-committal but hinted at the possibility. “People can’t live alone. Family and society are integral parts of life. If it happens, it will be a family decision and will proceed to marriage. My parents, given their age, would love to see me settle down again.”
On the subject of his sons' future, Shakib expressed his hopes for them, saying, “They’re still young and don’t understand much yet. They’re going to school and studying. As their father, I want them to have a bright future, one even bigger than mine. I’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that.”
