Finally, after a long wait, the web-film Shajal-Porimoni starrer Puff Daddy is released on the streaming platform Bongo. The production of the movie began in 2020. The whole world was not affected by Corona at that time. Due to the Corona emergency and other unforeseen factors, Puff Daddy's work remained incomplete.
Puff Daddy's story was told to the Bongo authorities by an officer of a reputed media agency. After hearing the story, it was decided to create a content based on it. The Puff Daddy web-film was intended to be Pori Moni's first venture into the OTT space. But the shooting was delayed due to various complications, and the opportunity was lost. Despite all the hurdles, Puff Daddy has released on Bongo yesterday, says a press release.
However, even at the last minute, there was no shortage of drama. Due to a scheduling conflict, Porimoni had difficulty dubbing her own voice. Therefore, it was decided that Porimoni's dialogue would be dubbed by a voice artist prior to the web-film’s release. After the dubbing of this web-film was done, Porimoni managed to schedule a time to record her own voice.
Bongo's Chief Content Officer Mushfiqur Rahman Manzu says, “Puff Daddy is our premium content. Following the success of Hotel Relax, we're releasing another premium content on our platform. However, production complications delayed the web-film's release. But we're happy to share the work with the audience. Puff Daddy is available on Bongo as TVOD (Transactional Video on Demand). Viewers can enjoy the web-film for just 20 Taka.
Aside from Porimoni, the Puff Daddy web-film features several familiar faces from the current era: Shajal Noor, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Khairul Bashar, Nasir Uddin Khan, Intekhab Dinar, Bijori Barkatullah and many more. The title role of the movie is played by the talented actor Azad Abul Kalam.
