Shailkupa health department alerts people over Covid-19

The local health department in Shailkupa of Jhenidah has been working round the clock. They have been moving here and there to detect the patients and make people aware of ensuring social distances. It has been helping the people partially to make their homes safe from the attack of the global havoc in the upazila.

A number of people at Royera, Abaipur and some other rural markets when contacted said, “The health department people have been moving from dawn to dusk searching  the people rushing from Dhaka, Gazipur, Narayanganj and some other cities. 

They have been advising the people not to allow them at their homes for their own safety and protection. The health departmental people also advising the people to inform them (health workers) if someone returns from outside.”

Upazila health and family planning officer (UHFPO) Dr. Rashed Al Mamun said that they had locked down 89 houses so far where the people from specific cities returned. They were advised to stay at their homes for a certain time.
