Shahina Sultana, formerly the Deputy Director of the Local Government Department at the Chittagong Divisional Commissioner’s Office, has been appointed Secretary of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification assigning her to the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
The order highlights her transfer as part of efforts to enhance the efficiency and governance of the energy sector, with implementation set to proceed swiftly in the public interest.
In the same directive, Shaheen Akhtar Sumi, Zonal Settlement Officer (Deputy Secretary) at the Tangail Land Record and Survey Directorate, has been appointed as Manager of the Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority. Additionally, Hashina Begum, Deputy Secretary (Non-cadre) OSD of the Ministry of Public Administration, will serve as Director of the Public Service Commission.
