‘Shaheedi March’ held in Rangamati

'Shaheedi March' was held in the district on Thursday as elsewhere across the country.

The leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement announced the 'Shaheedi March' programe yesterday to commemorate the martyrs one month after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina regime.

The 'Shaheedi March' was bought out from Rangamati Municipality which paraded the important streets and ended coming in front of the Deputy Commissioner's (DC) office where a human chain was also held on Thursday morning.

Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement unit of Rangamati Abdul Ahad, coordinators Shariful Islam Shakil, students Muhammad Jasim Uddin, Rabiul Islam, Robayet Hossain Tuhin and Muhammad Rakib, among others, spoke at the human chain.

Another Shaheedi March was held at Rangamati Government College on Thursday morning.

A one-minute silence was observed in the memory of those killed in the anti-discrimination student movement. Students of various departments of Rangamati Government College took part the programme.
