'Shaheedi March' programme was held in Ishwardi of Pabna on Thursday to commemorate the martyrs one month after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina and Awami League government. The programme consisted of protest march, street meeting and paying tributes.
Anti-Discrimination Student Movement held 'Shaheedi March' programme at Ishwardi town and several educational institutions as a part of their central programme.
On the occasion of 'Shaheedi March', students of different schools and colleges brought out several processions and gathered at Old Bus Stand of Ishwardi Bazar. Later, students of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement brought out a procession and held a street meeting at rail gate bus terminal. Earlier, a one-minute silence was observed in the memory of those killed in the anti-discrimination student movement.
The students demanded exemplary punishment of Sheikh Hasina and others involved in the killing and casualty. They also demanded proper treatment and financial aid for the injured people.
