SEVENTEEN’s historic Lollapalooza performance, emotional farewells

Published : 14 Sep 2024 09:11 PM

On September 8, SEVENTEEN headlined Lollapalooza Berlin 2024 for the first time in K-pop history with a performance to remember. The crowd was filled with CARATs from all over the world as the group performed an energetic setlist of their hits "Super," "Rock with You," and "Darl+ing." What is even more amazing is that the concert became an avenue to show individual talents of the group, too, through the vocal, hip-hop, and performance units.

Fans were emotional during their iconic closer "AJU Nice," as the song was in state ecstasy while singing it. Fans seemed most sentimental because this night would be Jeonghan's last before his military enlistment this October. However, Jun was conspicuous by his absence; he could not attend the event due to some commitments in China where he has been pushing other activities.

Fans still showed their love for him by writing messages online and cheered even harder for SEVENTEEN, hoping to see Jun back with them soon. This time, too, SEVENTEEN gave an great show at Lollapalooza Berlin and proved their influence, which is growing rapidly around the globe, especially in Europe after their successful appearance at Glastonbury earlier this year. The fans went into hysterics when SEVENTEEN's Jun joined the whole group for their offline fansign in China, which was huge since he hadn't been with them in previous events.

This fansign was the last time that all 13 members would ever be together before upcoming individual commitments, and as such, it turned out to be a rather emotional yet memorable time in store for both the group and CARATs. The presence of Jun was more especial for those who missed him during the performance in Berlin at Lollapalooza. So full of delight and gratefulness, fans couldn't help but let it all out on social media when they saw them all together.

This concert was an emotional farewell to this era of promotions before some members embark on their individual activities-one of which is Jeonghan's military service.

Fans were delighted with a reel posted by the group's official Instagram account on September 11, 2024, featuring clips from the members after SEVENTEEN held an offline fansign event in China. In fact, fans stated they had been highly "whipped" by how wholesome and charismatic the content was. This concert was a significant milestone because all 13 members came into one roof-speculations said it was their last fansign event together as a whole group before Jun's eventual individual activities.
