The members of Rapid Action Battalion conducted a raid on January 15 at Shahebpara area under Shiddhirganj police station in the district captured seven drug peddlers along with eighteen thousands pieces yaba pills.
The arrestees are Janu Mal, 39, Ashraful, 50, Raju Sardar, 22, Islam Mal, 32, Tahid Hossain, 26, Shahidul, 26 and Sharad Ali, 27.
Senior ASP of RAB-11 headquarter at Adamjeenagar in Narayanganj Mohammad Suminur Rahman in a media brief claimed that the arrested all seven with 18 thousands pieces contraband narcotics yaba pills, drugs sold 9 thousands cash taka and huge amount of baby toys.
RAB stated that all the captured accused are resident of Louhojong in Munshiganj district. They rented inmates in Narayanganj district and have been running drug trading in disguise of baby toys vendor and they kept yaba pills in hole of the dolls. These are the new tactics of the narcotics trader and they sold it at different parts in Narayanganj moving like as baby toys sellers.
A criminal case under narcotics control act has been filed with Shiddhirganj police station in this regard.
