ARCASIA (Architects Regional Council Asia) Forum-20 an International Conference of Architects from Asian countries, was organized which began on Monday with an aim to raise awareness about architecture in society.
Among numerous events organized for this occasion, one was city branding installation to engage the students of architecture to this auspicious event. The organizer, Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), invited nine architecture schools (accredited by IAB) to take part in the City Branding Installation along with the open architectural exhibitions at different important nodes, parks and avenue of Dhaka City so that the citizen of Dhaka might witness the excellence of architecture and get a hint of the vibrant events of Asian architects to raise awareness about architecture in society.
Along with the other schools, a group of students from Southeast University (SEU) Architecture Department participated in the event and put up their installation at the press club node of Dhaka city. The whole process from design to construction was supervised by Masud Rashid, associate professor, Department of Architecture and Faysal Karim Bhuiyan, lecturer, Department of Architecture.
