In the absence of the Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Treasurer of various Government Universities, urgent financial and administrative activities will be temporarily conducted under the signature of the senior professor.
However, this decision should be taken subject to discussion with the Dean's Council and department chairmen.
After the fall of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government on August 5, the VCs resigned in the face of student movement in various universities of the country.
Somewhere, pro-VC, Treasurer resigned. In such a situation, complications have arisen in signing the salary and allowance files of teachers and employees of various
universities.
The Ministry of Education has given new instructions to solve that complication. In this regard, the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education published a letter on Thursday.
According to the letter, the vice chancellor, pro vice chancellor and treasurer of various universities of the country are resigning and in many cases, the vice chancellors and other officials are absent from the workplace despite not resigning at some universities.
As a result, due to their resignation and absence, problems are being created in the administrative and financial activities of the universities.
The Ministry of Education has instructed to take measures to temporarily carry out emergency administrative and financial duties with a senior professor until a regular vice chancellor is appointed to keep the
administrative activities going and manage the financial activities.
