Seminar on philosophy, ethics, politics held at IU

An international seminar on ‘Philosophy, Ethics and Politics of Mahabharata’ was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday.

IU Bangla department organized the seminar at ‘Gogon Horkora’ gallery of Rabindra-Nazrul academic building on the campus around 11:00 am.

Prof Dr. Gazi M Mahbub Murshed, chairman of the Bangla department of the university presided over the programme while Dr. Shamim Ahmed, Associate professor of Philosophy department of Ramkrishno Mission Biddamandir, Belurmoth, West 

Bengal in India spoke here as a chief discussant.

The chief discussant, Prof Shamim Ahmed, focused on the philosophy, ethics and political view of Mahabharata in his discussion. He also took a plentiful discussion of Literature and historical assessment of Mahabharata.

IU Former treasurer Prof Dr. Selim Toha of Law department, Prof Dr. Sarwar Morshed, Prof Dr. Nasrin Akhter, Prof Dr. Rabiul Hossain, Prof Dr. Habibur Rahman, Prof Dr. Yeasmin Ara Sathi and among others professor of Bangla department were present at the event while more than hundred students and teachers also participated.
