A daylong seminar titled “Successors of the Prophet (SM) and their Contributions to Human Development” was held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Thursday.
IU Da`wah and Islamic Studies department organised the seminar at the Youth Development Centre, Kushtia twon.
Prof Dr M Afaz Uddin of Da’wah department addressed the seminar as chief guest with Prof Dr. Md. Iqbal Hossain of the department in the chair.
Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman and Masudul Hasan Malik, Deputy Coordinator and Deputy Director, Kushtia Youth Development Office attended here as special guests, conducted by Atikur Rahman student of the department.
While addressing Prof M Afaz Uddin said, implementing teaching from the biographies of the Messenger of Allah (SA) and his disciples by collecting more and more knowledge.
The teachers and the students of the course explained in their articles the research articles on the subject of "life of the disciples and its application to human welfare’ under the supervision of Prof Dr Iqbal Hossain.
In the presentation, the students take a look at how the disciples of the prophet (SM) have modified their lives in the light of Islam brought by the Prophet’s teaching.
Several issues including reflection of inviting the prevailing infidelity (Kufar), establishing there self an ideal human being as followers of the Prophet (SM), Socio-economic and political conflicts, transformation policy of the disciples, the formation of a work-oriented society, the formation of a civilized society, irrespective of caste, belief and religion have come up nicely in the event.
