Seminar on expanding science-based education held in Jhenaidah

A day long seminar was held in Jhenaidah to remove the fear about science among the school children making science based education and life for them. The seminar was held in the conference room of the deputy commissioner on Monday morning. Inspiring the secondary level students in participating in fourth industrial revolution through enthusiasm was one of the important objectives of the seminar.

Organized by voluntary organization welfare efforts (WE), Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) assisted the programme. Presided over by Additional deputy commissioner (ADC, general) Selim Reza, Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Mozibor Rahman attended the seminar as chief guest.

District education officer Taslima Khatun, ex vice principal of government Nurun Nahar Women’s college NM Shahjalal, WE director Sharifa Khatun and BFF executive director Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury among others spoke. Participants including teachers and educationists form six upazilas of the district were present.

The participants opined that although the attendance of the learners were increased in last two decades in the country, the knowledge and skill of the learners was not up to the marks as desired in the globe. It was not given priority as required. 

Facilities and other access for the secondary level student about the merits of the science must be ensured in time towards a science-based digitalized world.
