Seminar on ‘Data Science and AI’ held at UITS

Microsoft Bangladesh took the initiative to host a two-hour-long seminar on “Data Science & Artificial Intelligence” at the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS). 

The speakers explored into the latest advancements in data science and AI, showcasing how these technologies can tackle real-world problems.

The live demonstration of Microsoft Copilot garnered significant attention, highlighting AI's potential to boost productivity and efficiency. The seminar offered a valuable platform for students to grasp the cutting-edge developments in these domains and understand their applicability in addressing real-world challenges.

Microsoft Bangladesh remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering technological education and digital literacy, aiming to empower the next generation of innovators and leaders.

The event welcomed the Honourable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Abu Hashan Bhuiyan, Dean Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Islam, Director of IQAC Engineer Md. Safaet Hossain, Head of CSE Mr. Al-Imtiaz, and esteemed UITS faculty members.

More than 130 students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Information Technology participated in the seminar.

The event featured speakers from Microsoft Bangladesh, including Md. Shajahan Ahmed, ISAM; Muttakin Karim, Product Marketing Coordinator, AI Solutions at Deep Mind Labs Ltd.; Sadia Afrin Hema, Analyst at SEBPO and Coordinator at Microsoft AI Hub Bangladesh; and Rupak Chandra Bhowmick, AI Engineer at Deep Mind Labs.
