Seminar on collaboration in future business held at BU

‘Automation is replacing human jobs. Technology is replacing routine and manual work. But automation is weak and people are stronger and more promising. We are to rely on people. Human being can innovate new ideas and they can use the scientific invention which is not possible by machine’, Author, speaker and social networking expert, Rawn Shah says in a seminar on ‘Collaboration is the Heart of the Future of work’ held at Bangladesh University (BU) permanent campus auditorium on Sunday.

Bangladesh University Startup Accelerator and Edward Kennedy center (EMK) jointly organized the seminar. BU Startup Accelerator Programme Adviser Tina Jabeen moderated the total seminar while Special Adviser of BoT, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh Professor Imran Rahman was the special guest. Registrar of BU Brigadier General Md Mahbubul Haque (retd) delivered the welcome address.

In the key note, Rawn Shah points out, work today needs creativity. He emphasizes 5 relevant future work skills namely mind set, novel an adoptive thinking, cross cultural competency, social intelligence and virtual collaboration which are the key to success of future business. Collaboration software can build relationship across a broad network, software can know one`s business process, he added. Emphasizing the collaboration in future business he points out that modern work is increasingly social, Interactive and expertise based. As global work trend is changing rapidly so without collaboration it will be tough to run any business successfully.

Other speakers spoke in the seminar emphasizing the importance of collaboration in future business.

Question answer session is held in the second half of the programme. Besides, teachers and high officials, a huge number of students, Startups Accelerators were present in the seminar.
