A seminar to preserve playgrounds and to promote sports was organized in Cox's Bazar on Thursday. Bangladesh Krira Lekhak Samity organised the seminar at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office. Speakers at the conference said that joint initiatives are needed to protect the playgrounds in the district and promote sports. Therefore, it is important to start a committee within a short time.
Cox's Bazar Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamal Hossain directed the formation of a committee in the participation of officials in this regard. The Deputy Commissioner said that the committee would quickly determine the status of the playgrounds at the upazila level, including the district town, and provide feedback on how to utilize it. Later on that opinion, work will be done on how to further develop the playgrounds of Cox's Bazar. At the same time, he warned that no development could be done by destroying the playing fields.
Cox's Bazar District Awami League President Advocate Sirajul Mostafa said that in this age there is no alternative to sports to save children, teenagers and young people from drugs and other bad habits. Therefore, all the playgrounds in the district should be maintained by developing them
