AKM Selim Osman, law maker from Narayanganj-5 constituency distributed 50 thousand kg rice among the poor on Thursday, April 30 to mark the 6th death anniversary of his elder brother also a law maker AKM Nasim Osman in the city.
He distributed rice at Nasim Osman Model High School premises in Bandar Choudhury Bari area of the city to help these poor people during this corona situation.
During the distribution, Selim along with his nephew Azmeri Osman (son of Nasim Osman), grandson Alif and family members asked all to offer prayer for his brother’s departed soul.
At the time, 2 thousands and 5 hundreds helpless, poor families received 20 kg rice each. Selim Osman disbursed the rice relief through all the five union chairmen and nine councillors of his constituency.
In this rice distribution program Bandar Upazila Chairman MA Rashed , Bandar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shukla Sarkar and Jatiyo Patry convener of district unit Abu Jaher were present.
Selim Osman MP earlier distributed Tk 2 crore cash among the poorer to face the food crisis during corona crisis.
