A three-day international art exhibition styled ‘Season of Serenity’ began at Safiuddin Shilpalay in the capital on Friday.
As many as 130 paintings have been put on display at the show which will continue till November 10.
Noted artist Abdul Mannan, retired Director (Design) of Bangladesh Television, inaugurated the show which will continue till November 10.
Speaking on the occasion, he advised the young artists to practice more so that they can reach their goal.
“Practice helps an amateur artist become a skilled one,” he said.
Kauser Hossain, President of IWS Bangladesh and founder of Focus Bangladesh, highlighted the role of art in the nation’s history, recalling the sacrifices made by artists during the Liberation War.
Mahfuz Canvas, a platform that works for creating scopes for freelancers and budding talents to present their creativity, organised the show.
Mahfuzur Rahman, founder of Mahfuz Canvas, established the organisation in 2018.
Recognised internationally and residing in Dubai, Rahman has participated in over 80 exhibitions at home and abroad.
The exhibition reflects Rahman’s commitment to nurturing creative talent and encouraging the next generation of Bangladeshi artists to thrive on both national and international stages.
