A schoolboy died after falling off the rooftop of a building on Ulon Road at Rampura area in the capital on Monday. The deceased was identified as Rimon Sarder, 15, a class-IX student of Ekramunnesa High School and son of Nasir Sarder of Kaliganj upazila in Gazipur.
Witnesses said that Rimon suddenly fell down from the roof of the building while trying to jump from one roof to another, leaving him injured critically. Later, he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries. Bachchu Miah, in charge of DMCH police outpost, said that the body has been kept at morgue for autopsy.
