Sabina Khatun, the captain of the victorious women's football team, has been felicitated by the Satkhira district administration.
The reception was given in the presence of the Satkhira-2 MP in the conference room of the district administration on Saturday afternoon. Family members of Sabina Khatun and wife of local coach late Akbar Ali were present at the reception.
After the clean victory, the captain of the women's football team came to his district on Friday morning. On that day, various organizations gave a warm welcome from the circuit house intersection.
Happy with the reception, the accomplished footballer appealed to the district administration and the MP to provide a suitable field for girls to play so that the girls of this district can play an important role in sports in the country in the future.
On the other hand, everyone involved in sports thanked the district administration for welcoming Sabina Khatun who suddenly came to Satkhira.
District Football Association General Secretary Arif Hossain Prince said, we are happy to welcome Sabina Khatun on behalf of the district administration.
The District Commissioner has assured all-out cooperation to advance women players in Satkhira.
During the reception, the Deputy Commissioner announced a donation of one lakh to Sabina Khatun. Also present Satkhira-2 Constituency Member of Parliament Mir Mostak Ahmed Rabi announced a courtesy gift of Tk 3 lakh to Sabina Khatun.
