Executive meeting (EC) of Bangladesh Football Federation will be held on October 3. The main agenda of the meeting is with the upcoming election of the BFF. May be it would be the last meeting of the BFF executive committee before the elections, scheduled for October 26. So, possibly this would be the last meeting for the BFF incumbent president Kazi Mohammed Salahuddin, who will preside over the last EC meeting on Thursday.
BFF had their last EC meeting on August 5 through online and there was a decision that any interested member could join the meeting on October 3 through online.
BFF had already selected an intercontinental hotel in the capital for the venue of the election when Thursday’s meeting will also form the election commission.
Mejbah Uddin was the chief election commissioner in the last four times of the BFF election since 2008. This time there is a possibility to bring a change in the position.
Some quarters demanded change in the position of the chief election commission. The newly formed election commission will hold a meeting and will announce the election schedule.
Councillorship approval is one of the important agendas of the executive committee meeting. BFF have already sent letters to 139 of it’s affiliated organizations with the deadline of submission the names of their selected councilors on September 30. The approved names will represent their respective organisation in the meeting on October 3 and the BFF will hand over the names to the EC, and then the EC will publish a draft voter list.
The meeting will also discuss with the SAFF Women’s Championship scheduled for the second week of October.
