Bangladesh's injured pace bowling all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin, who was replaced in the ongoing ICC World T20 due to a back injury, is all set to miss the upcoming home series against Pakistan, slated from November.

Bangladesh Cricket Board chief physician Debashish Chowdhury confirmed the development to Cricbuzz adding that he will need to take rest for at least one month before beginning his rehabilitation program to recover from stress fracture.

"He (Saifuddin) has a stress injury," said Debashish on Thursday (October 28). 'After a month's rest he will start his rehabilitation program."

Bangladesh will host Pakistan after the completion of this year's T20 World Cup in November for three T20Is and two Tests that will be part of the ongoing World Test Championship cycle.

The will begin with the T20Is at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, with games on November 19, 20 and 22.

Saifuddin, who returned to Dhaka on Thursday, did not wish to speak on the subject citing he was upset at missing the World Cup for Bangladesh. According to a team official, the 24-year-old complained about pain on the left side of his back after Bangladesh's last game, against Sri Lanka.
